We had decided to go on a random Sunday drive over...
...the Derbyshire Dales. We all met up in Stoke along with a couple of minis from Minis 'N' Oatcakes. Young Dazzler picked the route and off we went... Once we arrived at the twisty lanes the pace soon picked up and we were tearing down the lanes... what a sound it must have been to have 10 minis thrashing down a single track lane. At one point we got held up behind a tracker, i was in with daz n we managed to get past it... the road infront was clear so we called on the CB's to overtake the tractor... however, not everyone had CB's, when i looked back down the hill i saw in true formation style minis through the convoy randomly pull out and take over the tractor... it was brilliant to see... the others took over shortly after.. we stopped in a layby for a quick stretch, little did we know the tractor was catchin us up, so we lept back in the minis and went off down the next stretch.. this is the section where we had fun... Unknowing to us there was not only one but two hump back bridges coming up... we spotted the first one which wasn't too bad... but we managed to launch Billy off the second and go completely airborn... me and daz couldn't stop giggling for miles... on the next hump in the road i managed to get a video of the G's getting airborn in Scrumpy... this was followed by a chav chase with a youth in his moms minty green car... chase over and so was the route... we all said our fairwells and off we went home for mid-day, which was great, we had a crazy sunday drive and it didnt take up the whole day! thanks to Minis 'N' Oatcakes for coming along... its good to have other mini clubs joining in... thank you. looking forward to the next run in reverse... steph ![]() ![]() ![]() |
