I've looked into the possibility of organising a 'Beer & Skittles' evening for this year.

After discussion with Daz, we believe that the best date is 1st December, which I believe is a Saturday evening. I have checked with the Swan Hotel & this date is available (so they are holding the room for me for a short period until I pay the deposit).

As this shall be very much our December meeting, It has been suggested that we combine additional activities such as Secret Santa & a club raffle.

The arrangement shall be similar to last year, in that I am making a trip to France in August to buy copious amounts of competitively priced beer & wine, for the lucky winners. Or you can save it for a Christmas present for someone else like Purple Rob does.

A cold buffet will be provided on the night & I shall try & keep the cost down to a figure similar to last years £8 per head. It is hoped, we can surpass the money that we raised for the club funds last year, so if anyone has any raffle prizes etc, I shall be contacting you nearer the date.

I shall not start a who's going list just yet as it is far too early. However, please reserve this date in your calendars should you wish to partake. The room will hold a maximum of 40 adults (NOTE THIS IS AN ADULT ONLY EVENT - NO CHILDREN ARE ALLOWED) & I need at least 30 people to go to break even.

This was a very popular event last year which all participants enjoyed immensely, so your support in this activity would be most appreciated.

To all of you who have or will confirm an Interest, I would wish to advise that the Beer & Skittle Alley is now booked @ the 'Swan Hotel' in Brewood for the evening of Saturday December 1st.

The event shall cost £8 per person which is a slight increase on last years fee due to the cost of the buffet going up.

After last years event in which a few members did not pay but still attended the event, I shall close the availability for this event to club members at the November meeting. There will be no scenario or set up for people paying on the evening.

A raffle shall also be organised on the evening to aid club funds but we have decided to cancel the Secret Santa for this meeting, which shall now be held at the standard December meeting (dates to be advised).

We're now just two weeks away fromthe night.

All that went last year know what a good time we had.

There are still places left if you are interested & in addition to all of the prizes that you can win while playing the games we have some fantastic raffle prizes to give away.

Games start at 7.30pm. (please do not be late it cocks everything up).

Places are still avialable.

For those of you that haven't paid yet, it's £8 per head which includes a cold buffet plus your contribution to the prize fund, as well as playing in all the games. Hayley has already been wrapping the packs of booze and bottles of wine, so don't complain if you get red when you only drink white.

We had a fantastic time last year and this years raffle has some excellent prizes, so bring your pennies.

I'll be staying sobber as always so Hayley is open to bribes for the scoring.
